APPD Book of Condolences for Dr. Chaniece Wallace

Dr. Chaniece Wallace

On behalf of the APPD Board and APPD Chief Residents Executive Committee and so many APPD members who have reached out,

We are saddened to hear of the tragic loss of Chaniece Wallace. We have been in touch with Jerry Rushton and the IU Program Leadership, and have heard their wonderful stories of the ways that Chaniece impacted those around her -- dedicated to primary care, serving the underserved, supporting reading and parenting, teaching, mentoring, and truly being a friend to all.

As a way for members of APPD to show their support to Chaniece's family and the IU Family and in memory of Chaniece Wallace, this site is set up to collect people's thoughts and condolences. These will be made into a book for her family and a book for the IU program. It will also allow people to continue to contribute thoughts in a single (non-APPD Connect) site.

More information will be available on Friday, October 30, on ways to contribute to her family and to the Chaniece Wallace Primary Care Lectureship at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

With sadness,

The APPD Board of Directors, APPD Chief Residents Executive Committee, and Full APPD Family
