Summary of main findings:
Program directors utilize diverse pathways to train pediatric physician-scientists. The majority of pediatric physician-scientist trainees follow the categorical pathway. Identified barriers as perceived by pediatric program directors focus on institutional climate and support for physician-scientist development.
